I'm planning on moving my doepfer modular kit into the attic room once i've finished redecorating it... so i'm looking around for decent looking cases to house the modules... maybe something that looks a bit more furniturey than having a bunch of metal cases racked up.

So far not that much is grabbing me.

Doepfer's cases are all very suitcasey and clunky, prob. great for gigging but not as furniture, and really i'm not too keen on them.

Analogue Systems do some rather nice looking ones, though i emailed them re price and they said that the one i was interested in (RS8000) is only sold with synth kit itself.

My favourite is still the Space Case, which is a good size for what i want and looks fucking cool, though i'm yet to get a price from their euro dealers, and i've a couple of reservations... i'd need to make some sort of back panel for it to prevent the delicate inner workings of my modules being damaged by feline intervention... and if they don't get round to making the expander, it's stuck at 2x168.

There must be someone else making decent eurorack cases?

Looking at the price of the space case, you could probably just get a couple of slabs of nice wood, then pay a carpenter to throw something together for you for even less than that.

It isn´t too hard making a decent cabinet for almost any modular system.
What you could do is to research this some more but not be restricted to Doepfer related ideas.

This one? -> DIY Buchla 200e Cabinet Rip-Off
