Im trying to get my nord lead 2x to sound really good in the upper octave of the keyboard.

(standard registers, 3rd light lit up)

The sound is so shrill, its hard to listen to, is it possible to program

ear-friendly high pitch sounds?

By high pitch I mean: the F above middle F and higher.

Is the nord supposed to be wicked thin up top? (cause im not even going really high... it doesnt seem like it should be this shrill.)

Is it really complicated to ease the sound?

Any tips on how to make it sound nice, and polished, versus shrill/whiney?

Tips:

1 don't use very much Resonance
2 Check the Keyboard Tracking
3 use the 12dB LP Filter and set the Cut-Off a little more anti clock-wise
4 check the FM Amount
5 and never use the HP Filter Smile

Anyway, the NordLead is a digital synthesizer 'pure sang', which implies some more high in the sound. This is also the reason why so many producers like the synth, because it always suites so well in the mix.
