Hi to everyone!

Sometimes my dektop evolver, when is playing sequencer and tweaking the knobs starts to change the values alone, with the speed of seconds on a clock, and the sequencer led starts blinking and i need to turn off the synth and then turn on again....its really strange! So if you have any idea please help me. Sad

P.S. that happens with midi clock internal and external.

Thanks a lot

Cheers

I've seen a few of my synths (not my Evolver but I'm just passing this on) crash when multiple devices were sending MIDI clock. Regardless if the crashing machines were trying to follow the clock or not, it seemed as though too many clocks being sent was overflowing their buffers and causing them to crash. Just a thought - yank the MIDI cables and see if it still happens.

Many thanks for the advice, but has i said the problem happens receiving midi clock and not receiving midi clock, so happens too with the machine playing alone, the midi in cable is connected but no midi clock cause my other machines are turned off.... Wink

Ok - I didn't think you mentioned the other machines were off. I would suggest emailing Dave Smith. Good luck figuring it out.

No, the only time things change "by themselves" is when I assign a sequencer to that value. So I'm not sure what problem you're having. Do you see it with a certain patch? Or with any patch? What version of the firmware are you using?

I have version 3 and happens with any patch. It seems that what changes alone is only the program numbers, not the values of the knobs im tweaking, either i was not tweaking this time just pushing buttons of the programming matrix, this time i didnt reboot the Evolver, just pushing all buttons to see if he stop without rebooting, and then he stops im sure that was not cause i push all the buttons to see if he stop, it seems that he stops when finish counting the 128 programs of the 4 banks. It was this that was happening, but cause i was tweaking the same time i didnt understand that what changes is program numbers and not the data of the last knob i tweak....next time im going try to see even more clearly whats happening!

Cheers

It seems in that i have been making bulk dump without knowing.... thats why the sequencer start stop led flashes and the programs start to change alone. until the last one of the 4 banks! Confused

If is that cubase didnt receive nothing...that i know. Rolling Eyes
