Hi I just bought classic NM rack yesterday, so I installed the editor program.
and while editing patches, I wanted to play keyboard so I could listen to the sound while I'm editing (I have a Master Keyboard which is connected to my computer through usb cable). but I couldn't figure out how to use my Master keyboard to play NM's sound when editing.
I know there is a key float in the editor, but I want my master keyboard to play the patches. Does anyone use NM rack with usb connected master keyboard to listen to the patch? sorry for my bad english. Please help me out with this. I'm so depressed. Sad

here's the connection

NM rack PC in/out <==> steinberg midi interface in/out
Emu X-board keyboard <===> computer via usb cable.

Sorry to report, you are going a connection short there, the pc in/out midi ports are only to allow the editor to talk to the synth.

If the Xboard has a regular midi out port in addition to the usb, you are laughing, just hook it up directly to the NM and provided everything is on the proper channel you are in business.

If it does not, you are going to need to connect an additional midi interface up to the computer I'm afraid.
