presently I am using my Lead 3 as the controller for my Waldorf Bloefeld, but I have one problem... the Bloefeld does not respond to the octave up/down from the Lead 3 (neither do my Yamaha DX-200 nor Korg Radias R). it is also the same trying to use either my Nord Modular or Modular G2. pitch bend and modulation wheel commands are recognized, just not octave shift. now when I used the G2 as a controller for the Access Virus B I used to have there were no problems whatsoever. I've checked the MIDI settings on all synths and nothing appears to be amiss, but yet I'm still having this issue. anyone else experience similar problems? if so is there something I may have overlooked? I could probably just get a seperate MIDI controller for the Bloefeld, but I feel that really shouldn't be necessary having the three Nord synths. Confused

Wasn't there something with shift + octave switch ... or is that for the G2 ... anyway one was supposed to shift the internal sound only and the other to also shift the generated MIDI ... it could be in the manual.

guess I'll have to take a look, but I do know with the G2 and the Virus B I never had to use the shift button in conjunction with the octave up/down to get it to work.

o.k., just tried that and it worked... going through the process now I remember I did have to use the shift button on the G2 controlling the Virus. it's been some time since I've had the Access module and the memory just isn't what it used to be... Embarassed thanks for helping to dust off the cobwebs. guess I just got used to using the synths on their own and the function being just up or down without the added shift step.

I have both a G2 and an NL3. The G2 is currently my main controller.

Octave Up/Down transposes the selected patch, whereas Shift + Octave Up/Down transposes the keyboard. Use the latter when controlling external gear.
