Benassi Bass...Nord Lead Library? Subject description: Benny Benassi Reveals the secret to his signature bass sound |
 |
|
| In the latest video interview from Future Music Magazine, Benny Benassi partially revealed the secret to his signature bass sound. He uses a Nord Lead Library in EXS24 titled "Nord Lead W1200" and the preset is called "Saw Lead". He didn't want to say what compressor he uses, but judging from the video I'm guessing its a software plugin. Does anyone know of this Nord Lead library? The only one I can find is the "NiceBytes Nord Lead 2" library but I'm not sure that's the one. |

I knew. That Bananzzi dude is all presets!
BTW.. it sounds like this is from a commercial sample set made for the EXS sampler bundled with Logic. If you have something like a Nord Lead I reckon you can patch it up in a second or two. On the other hand, you can probably buy the same sample CD for the Akai samplers too. No need for a Nord Lead at all. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

| Any idea where to get these libraries? I have searched for them and have not found much. |

Sorry, I mostly use synths and I´m not quite used to samplers yet. All that new stuff.. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

I unfortunately don't have a real Nord Lead so I am looking for the library that was used in the video. I was able to find the "Wizoo Powered Nord" library here http://www.mi7libraries.com/main/samples/volume.jsp?id=78
but it doesn't seem to be the right one judging by the preset names. |

| Yeah, these sound great. Is there any way to get a multisample set of the Nord Oscilators for a sampler? |

You mean something boring like those terrible sounds on that Wizzoo site?
I'm not a sampler man... Much to dull for me
But just assume...
What should I have to do? Make a recording?
Using what and how and why?
Assume I want to do it for all Wave users, what would a set look like?

| I am not to sure myself. Can you possibly just record a couple of seconds of just the Sawtooth oscillator with no filter at all on a few octaves? |
