I even visited Jeff's web site and I noticed the sentence that is the title of this message. That's enough for a brand new thread:
should music help to escape?
escape from what?

I don't feel that it should per se, but I certainly enjoy when it does. The project that this subject title was taken from has had a lot of people tell us they've "gone somewhere else" when they listen to us -- that they've forgotten about worries and concerns over the time frame the music plays. That's a mighty nice compliment as far as we're concerned. One of the reasons I enjoyed early Tangerine Dream, Nightcrawler and Echoes-era Floyd was the music's ability to put me in a motion state of mind. Imagination is a wonderful thing.

What was I "escaping" from? Wherever I was at the time -- knowing full well that I'd come back and that I'd probably be more at ease with "reality" when I did.

Jeff
