Anybody sign up for the Beta Tester program?

100 tester limit. You buy the OP-1 for your beta testing for a yet-to-be-disclosed price.

I prefer the Korg nanokontrol, which I plan to buy next month as my monthly treat to myself. Any reason I would be better off with this teenage thingie?

Well it makes noises and the nanokontrol doesn't!

Jumpin' Jehosefats, Batman, the OP-1 Rocks! I'm down to be a beta tester, I'll test it with ChucK. What do I do? (Can't purchase for another two weeks)...

Sweet, please let us know what your price is so we'll have an idea what regular consumers may expect to pay. Cool

Quote:

Use the magic step sequencer/arpegiator to get the notes right. If that is not enough use the built in motionsensor that sense every shake or move you make and turn it into really cool sounds. Then relax and sample a beat from the built-in FM radio or memorise a tune by whistle it into the built-in microphone. Play your piece to your friends through the built-in speaker. Or ... convert it right away to mp3 and mail it to them.

OMG! This is a wonder device...

well they have a small stand at MusicMesse.

And here is their latest info:

"Here's some more info about the OP-1 and the Beta program: The Beta sign-up is non-binding and all of you who has signed up, will get a confirmation email when the time is right. • The Beta release is scheduled (very) late this year. • The hardware dev. is on schedule and will be finalized before summer. • 4 synth modules are completed and 4 more are under dev. • We will mail more information next week to all Beta prospects."

Looks interesting as they are building it from a design and user interface point of view by the looks of it, a bit like FAWs circle synth.

Well looking at the Dev videos they have on youtube it looks like they are a long way off of putting anything in the case.
