Bubblesound SEM-20 Subject description: Any other users? |

I picked up an SEM-20 when I was in L.A. and I have to say it's got a pretty sweet tone to it. They've endeavoured to replicate the filter from the Oberheim SEM with a bit of extra spice in the resonance. I always wanted one of those.
I've been putting 2 oscillators from my 100-m system into it, and controlling frequencies with a Utility LFO and all of the results have been very cool.
Anyone tried one yet? |

I really like this filter as well. It's creamy smooth...yet quacks!
I like running the BP out to one channel and the NP out to the other.

i love mine as well. the LP is very smooth and creamy at low resonance, but crank it and it squelches. The HP is especially musical.
My favorite part, however, is the Notch output. It has a knob to sweep between LP and HP (notch balance) which you can put under CV. It sounds absolutly fantastic. I've been experimenting with filtering triangle waves through my STG wavefolder and i'm getting wonderful phasing...like an old 70's phaser. _________________ Time is an illusion.
