Hi there, I searched the archives and couldn't find anything about this. I just want to know if the expansion board gives you more cpu for more complex patching (more modules) or just more voices?

On the G2 it's limited, but there are a couple of ways to make patches interact (internal MIDI and audio buses). On the Classic its virtually non existent unfortunately, only external audio cables, from audio outputs to audio inputs, will bring signals into another patch.

... but ... on the NM Classic voices are still pretty much independent, meaning that with clever programming one voice can have a different sound from a co-voice on the same patch. This still gives extra space for exploration when an expansion is added, but it would limit the usable musical space likely ... anyway, I can relate to your viewpont, but I've always found that aspect to be usable for me on the classic .. YMMV there though Laughing
