bc547 for bc548 in rene schmitz VCA?

hey folks, ive got a bunch of 547's and 557's laying around, however no 548's/558's.

i see that the max current of the 548 is higher than the 547; is it a viable substitute, or no?

also, the dual NPN pair; would 2n3904 or 2n3906 work there? ive got some matched pairs i could use. thanks much.

should be fine, I used generic Japanese transistors in mine (C1815, A1015), which i use for all CGS circuits.

Not the 2n3906 for the matched pair tho - its PNP
