Hi Gang!

So I just received my first shipment of boards from Ken. I ordered the Synthacon Filter, the CMOS filter, the Cynare, the Utility LFO and some incidental utility boards.

My question has to do with resistor tolerances. Looking at Ken's pages, tolerance isn't specified, and in the pics he seems to have used any old resistor layin' around. Which makes me happy, as I may finally get rid of some of these 5% carbon films I've had layin' around for ten years. Smile

So: in your experiences, is 5% okay? Is there anything in the circuits listed above that I may want to use more precise resistors for?

Thanks everyone!

If a board requires 1% resistors, Ken will write it in the description - eg for the VCO or ASR, otherwise 5% is fine (for most people).

happy soldering Smile
