Hello everyone! great forum you have here!

I have a question about the micro modular... do the audio inputs work as a "through" mixer all the time and with any patch? or does a patch have to be modified to make it work like that.

See I am planning on having A waldorf blofeld connected to the inputs of the micro modular and then passing the audio of both synths through a kaoss pad, basically making a chain and converting the micro modular into a 1 stereo channel mixer. will patches have to be modified to accept incoming audio or will it work with any patch?

thanks in advanced!!

welcome ri.

You'll have to modify patches for this. You'll need to add an input module and probably a mixer to mix the input signals with the current output signal.

congrats on your new micro and welcme the forum!

yeah this works really well on my NM1. i use a separate slot for my audio in patch, but it's so small, you could tack on the audio in module and an independant audio out module to any patch you make without using a lot of processor capacity.

you can do sequences, drum tracks, or stack leads, pads, etc. on top of the waldorf and play them together via midi. almost anything you can imagine is possible, that's why i'm and avid modular user.

i recommend finding a way to run one of the micro outputs in mono to the kaoss's stereo input and one mono out to a mixer. then you can separate the internal and external audio with independant output modules for say, dubbing out a drum part with delay. have fun! Smile
