Hello Motu Midi Time Piece 11
there's one of these on ebay now,real cheap, no manual !!!
I don't need to hook up to a computer, just want it for live use in sending patch changes to my keys and mods. What do you guys think, will i be pulling my hair out trying to figure this thing out

If you want to use this thing to send midi patch change messages in stand alone mode you must have one of the following systems:

1: An old Mac with built in 8 pin mini din modem serial port.

2. Desktop Mac with serial port board (w/ xclock) that plugs into the modem board slot.

3. Mac laptop with Keyspan X28 USB to serial port adapter.

In all cases you must be running OS8.6 - 9.2, have an 8 pin mini din cable with crossed pins, and the free ClockWorks program available from the motu.com website.

After you've setup your midi patches, canons and modifiers you can then use the unit in stand alone mode to send patch change and other midi data to units on any port/midi channel.
