Hi folks,

Have any Nord Lead 3 (and I suppose Nord Lead anything) owners experienced any strangeness with the pitch bend lever sending spurious data when it's not being touched? And I don't mean minuscule offsets, I'm talking quite audible. I started noticing it last night, There I was blaming poor ol' energyXT at first, then I suddenly noticed a very active MIDI indicator, despite the lack of anything happening. Recording it revealed it to be pitch bend data

Since it's some elaborate stress-sensing strip instead of a crappy pot, there's no quick replace or track-cleaning tricks. All the solder joints look solid enough.

Has anyone experienced this phenomenon?

Hi Loonie, welcome.

People have been reporting such here before ... sometimes the thing breaks and needs to be replaced.

I see. At least it sounds as straightforward as replacing a standard potentiometer, once you actually have the part. Thanks, BH. I had best locate a decent source of replacement parts for Canada.

Wow, my first Nord control replacement! Does that mean it's a vintage synth now? Razz

The PitchStick is a special part of Clavia's synths. Better contact

Repairs are handled by Calvia: send in the synth, bad components are takem out and replaced. synth returned.

Anyway, you can't buy a Stick in a shop...
