Nord rack 3 Issue! Will only play from bank A Subject description: Can only play from bank A in both modes |
 |
|
Hello everyone,
I either have an issue with my nord rack 3 or I am missing something very obvious.
When in normal mode and in Bank A, everything works perfectly. When I then select bank B, C or D, the nord looks as though it is loading the preset in that bank but continues to play what is loaded in A. The controls map to the preset in the other bank but have no affect. When you select bank A again everything is fine.
When I am using the performance mode, only sounds from bank A are ever heard! I can jump between the banks and see what presets are there but only ever get sound from bank A.
Am I doing something extremely silly here or have not enabled an option? I have just dumped version 1.20 back onto the unit but this has not changed anything.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Many thanks

I assume you bought the Rack recently on the second hand market?
There are no banks called A, B, C and D. These are the Slots, which are in fact four different synthesizers. Banks are called 1, 2, 3, etc. and are shown in the screen as 1:105 or 7:128.
At first reading I think your Midi is set only to Slot (synthesizer) A and not to Slot B to D.
At the other hand you write the same thing happens in Performance mode in which the Midi channels have to be set to control more than one Slot.
BTW you have the Manual?

Thanks for the speedy reply and welcome Wout, both are appreciated!
That said im a little embarrassed to say that indeed you were correct. The midi channels were simply pointing to slot A only!
As the unit was picked up second hand and I have automatically assumed there was some sort of H/W fault. Silly me ! There was no manual in the sale but ill be sure to download it from Clavia.se so I can void such mistakes in the future.
Great site by the way, im sure ill get alot from it.
Thanks |
