the layout and the pcb design dont match, the layout shows the diodes starting "pointing up" and the pcb design sheet shows the diodes starting "pointing down" (the long row of diodes at the top. ill check the schematic to see if i can work it out for myself but the wavefolder isnt sounding right so it may be that ive done it the wrong way round...

The diodes are all going by pair and within each pair they are mounted in parallel and opposite polarization , therefore it is not relevant which one is pointing up or down within a pair as long as one is pointing up and the other is pointing down.

Your problem comes from elsewhere.

Embarassed i had missed a gap in one of the tracks and not drilled a hole for one of the connections on the range pot AND i had wired the cv control pot up wrong....... oh the joy of questioning things before properly checking them.... great circuit btw works nice now thanks Smile
