I'm trying to understand, but I don't quite get what Ken is describing-- is it like an addition/subtraction of the input voltage on the stage 2 output?

"With a processor input pot in the center of it's travel, the signal is fed equally to both inverting stages. The output of the first stage, being an inversion of the input signal, cancels out the signal being fed directly into the second stage. By adjusting the pot to either side, either the inverting or the non-inverting is increased with respect to the other"

the regular mixer inputs allow a range of gain from 0 to 1.
The processor inputs allow a gain range of -1 to +1, this is really useful for combining CVs

Ok, that's exactly what I was wondering; if this is an attenuverter, or something different. Thanks very much.
