Nord Modular G2X won't start properly Subject description: When the power button is pushed, ALL front panel LEDs light up and system won't start |

Hello Everyone.
I think I have quite a serious problem, but I would like to ask for some help here before taking the instrument to a technician.
I have some keyboards here and all of them are usually On when I'm working, even when I don't need some of them. I was playing on another instrument for some hours when I've noticed that the G2X had not start up correctly. It was hanging on the "Welcome..." screen. I've turned it off and on again, and to my surprise, ALL LEDs on the front panel came on (including all encoders LEDs) and just stayed like that. All LCDs are lit, but blank. Turning the instrument off and on again have no effect.
I've seen a Nord Stage doing exactly that, I mean hanging on the "Loading System..." screen, with the progress bar stopped at some point in the middle. But in that case I've turned it off and on again and everything was ok then...
Any suggestions?
I really love this instrument. |

Welcome Phabius .. sorry to hear ... sounds like it will need repair.
What you could try is open it up to see if all cables are properly connected, all chips are properly in their sockets.
Oh, and please do not double post - I've removed your other one. _________________ Jan
also .. could someone please turn down the thermostat a bit.

Thanks for your reply!
I'll open it to check it anyway before taking it for repair, although I doubt there would be some bad connections inside (due to vibration or the like). It is the only Nord I have that I've never took onstage. It is here for five years in the same place. But who knows...
I wonder if it could be something with the power supply on the main board itself (which I hope is not). I wrote to the guys at Clavia, in the support area of their website. Gonna check with the distributors here as well.
Sorry for the double post. I was going to delete it myself, but didn't know which one. I've post it here first, and only then I noticed the "Bugs" topics...
