Make sure Program change receive is enabled in the g2 synth settings. Then you can choose bank and program in your ableton midi clip.

cheers nice wan, but is there a way to jump to the 8 variations?

also, for some reason in ableton, when i select a clip with a program change in it, the g2 doesnt change program, only after i select the clip again does it change....?

variation change is cc70; there is a CC list in the manual BTW.

I happen to know that one too Very Happy ... Push the little E button in the midi clip, select midi ctrl 70 and draw in your variation changes
