Hi freaks and g33ks!

I am a student under DIEM in Denmark (Danish Institute of Electronic Music, Royal Academy of Music in Denmark) and for my bachelor project I want to make an album/release which is on a memory card in a box and played back by some DIP IC microprocessor (I want to be able to produce a lot of them relatively easy) and elm-chan's wav player has been the guide for a long time, where I accepted the fact that stereo in 16 bit was not possible. But recently I stumbled upon this page where a guy made it possible using an atmega328 (or any arduino with 4 pwm pins) by using 2 of the 8-bit pwm pins for each 16-bit channel.

I thought I'd just share the idea here - my goal is to use a 328 chip pr player using this technique. I haven't tried it out yet. I am a little confused over the author's use of an Arduino Mega? It says in the doc that any Atmega can be used, specifically a 328? Can any of you guys decipher for me?
