Portable Studio

Hello, I'm a product Design student with a keen interest in music production. I've been making music for two years with FL studio and whilst I have a home studio, I also travel frequently. I'm currently researching into adapting that studio connection into the travelling domain. This could involve innovation of multiple features into a portable independent production station, or something that works with a laptop DAW.

Problem Area/ Statement
Making music whilst travelling, i.e. whilst touring, is quite common given the nature of the industry and events, however, an artist must compose and keep up with the times regardless. Therefore portability is a huge restriction in terms of what the artist can bring.

If you had a controller to work with your DAW, what features would it incorporate? (Soundcard, Midi control, mini keyboard, navigation tool etc..)

Also, where do you make music outside of the studio environment?
