I attended the Friday night concert. It was truly excellent. The program was expertly curated and nuanced with pieces by Scriabin, Messiaen, Clapton and Part.

An enormous highlight was the famous 1937 electronic Ondes Martenot ensemble piece by Messiaen, Oraison; all six parts played completely live by three expert Continuum artists, each playing two parts each, quite a task. Oraison played in real time and live using electronic instruments as it was intended is something that few will ever experience in their lifetime. We are familiar with our friend Lainhart's remarkable rendition on Continuum. This weekend's performance is certainly a nod and tribute to his pioneering work.

It was a rare privilege to be present and experience this performance in 2016. The artists were highly skilled, nuanced, expressive, and in tune. It was a wonderful event that I will cherish having been able to attend.

Many thanks to Greg and Hong for their hard work over many years supporting, organizing, and making these things happen. I am thrilled that they have moved to our region and are working towards elevating this area into a world class center for high end artistry and culture. Know these efforts are appreciated by many.

It was also a great blessing to finally meet Ms. Sparks, who is a preeminent Continuum artist and who greatly honors her mentor, our friend and muse Lainhart.
