Hi,

I have an arduino nano and 2 MCP4752 boards. I would like to build a MIDI to CV module for eurorack. Ideally 2 channels with 2 gates, but I will try 1 cv 1 gate first on the breadboard.

If someone has suggestions Im all ears.

Thanks!

Here's something to get you started using ATTINY.

Yeah, that looks economical and easy. I love it.

It has 8 bits of reso, thought, that could be a bit too little, maybe. Is there any way to get more resolution? Interfacing it with the MCP4752 would be spot on, but I guess I would have to modify the circuit and the code, isnĀ“t?

Anyway Im triying this for sure. Thanks!!

Yes you'd have to modify the code to get more resolution, but if I'm reading this correctly dspsynth.eu has hacked 8 bit to work.

You'd need to check into the "BroHogan" tinywire library for ATTINY for starters I'd guess. That should allow I2C calls to something like the MCP4725 D/A.

I have 2 of these. Im trying the same 8bit design of janostman, and Im almost there, but when compiling the code i get

'TCCR1' was not declared in this scope

Which seems related to some library or maybe the micronucleous programmer that Im not sure if I have installed correctly.

Anyone knows how to program it?
