Hi everyone I thought I would show off what arived for me in the mail today!

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

I have been interested in learning more about Thomas's design philosophy for a while (I have 2X XR VCO boards like 90% done lol). After breezing through the Electronic Drum Cookbook in one sitting I can see we are going to get on famously! It is very refreshing to have such a fluid and concise collection of information, and design wise I cannot wait to start hashing out my bespoke bodega style symmonds electro kit!

Which leads me to the second point I wanted to raise, In a rush to get to the checkout I have accidentially purchased two of the Electronic Drum Cookbook from Lulu, although I am sure everyone on this forum is familliar with its concepts, I would be more than happy to stick this in the post to a member of this forum if it is of interest to anyone. I can cover its postage to anywhere in the mainland UK, so dm me your address if you would find use in my spare copy

I am currently in the preliminary stages of designing a 5-6 instrument drum kit with pads for an indie band, spinning up single sided boards to etch at home with ki cad.

The only IC I have been having trouble sourcing is the 566, now I have some 8038s arriving soon but I kinda feel these may be overkill for a non 1 v/o oscillator on the level of specification, but where I am right now the 13700 otas are probably more expensive! Does anyone have any ides on alternatives?

Enough ramblin' from me, nice to meet you all!
I hope you all have a good and plaguefree Christmas Cool

A bit late answer maybe but...

LM13700 does not seem outrageously expensive here https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/op-amps/5339656/
