I am connecting two keyboards via midi. One has midi in and out through a Type B USB and the other midi in / out via regular midi din-type port. There is no such thing as a straight usb to midi cable. I have tried the usb to midi y cables with the FTP processing chip in between, but that seems to prevent signal transfer. I suppose a midi processor with a pass-thru would work... but why not make up my own cable.
Does anybody have the info/diagram on pin connections for midi to usb matching. Thanks!

welcome party!

Your USB keyboard needs to connect to a USB host for that to work. So you need something that functions as a USB host
and then converts it to DIN. I am currently waiting for an Arduino USB host shield to see if that can be used for something similar.
