Hammond, Leslie and Fender patches |
 |
|
Playing live all this old rock stuff, our bass player makes me crazy asking me again and again for these old original sounds. What I need is a straight Hammond, a Leslie and a Fender Rhodes. Any idea were to get these patches? Would be a big help. |

Welcome to electro-music zenesen.
I'm not really into such patches myself, but there is a large archive of NM Classic patches at http://nm-archives.electro-music.com/010_NordModular/011_Patches/
I was thinking that maybe Wan's patches (at kemper_wan) might be good to check out as it could be that the two of you are on the same line more or less, erm, well, yes, I said the maybe word :-) _________________ Jan
also .. could someone please turn down the thermostat a bit.

I believe there is a Leslie Factory patch for the NM.
Does anyone have a factory patch list handy? |

I've run across some in the patch archive. I wish I could tell you where exactly. As I recall the B3/leslie emulations were better than the rhodes. At least the rhodes I tried didn't have that vintage "bark" when you spank it, and some other elements I would look for. You will get as good or better results with a rom module/synth imo. The Nord's strong suit is not emulation of electro-mechanical instruments. But they are certainly usable, expecially live. Or if you want to morph a recognizable sound into crazyness.

Well I wish you could, it´s kind of hopeless to run through the archive, I tried some stuff but its just too much. Would need an index or something to find the star in the soup. If anybody runs into such a patch by accident please tell me. Thanks a lot, Michael. |
