Hi all,

I'm a bit confused about the rnd pattern module, and to be more specific, the step/prob mod. input.
No matter what I plug in into this input it doesn't seem to react.

I attached a patch with some examples.

first example.
upper modules (blue & green) are identical, just the blue circuit is connected with a mod source (LFO)
the green one not. Like you can see the result of the blue & green modules are identical, how does this comes?

second example (red modules, turn on mixer)
A random pattern generator clocked at audio rate.
Again the mod input is connected with an LFO, no matter what rate or polarity you select from the LFO there's no effect.

How comes the mod input doens't seem to react to anything I plug into it, am i missing something here.... ?

Apparently you are the first one to have ever tried :-)

I think this can be moved to the bug forum, or do you want to make a new topic for that ?

I don't think a new topic is necessary, just move it.

On another note, I didn't realise you could use the rnd pattern module as a wavetable osc with thousands of preset waveforms Shocked

Hopefully Clavia will address this issue in a future update so it becomes a wavetable osc with a modulatable spectrum Shocked

Ditto, I just tried it and it doesn't work. When using the pattern module as a waveshaper, truning the Step/prob knob lightens or darkens the sound, but it can't be modulated. Bummer.
