hello, I hope you are all well.

Attached is my attempt to rebuild in the G2 the patch "harmonicfeedback" by Roland Kuit, which I loved so much in my old NM.
However the sound is not at all what I expected. Which is no wonder, since I have only a slight clue of what I'm doing, if at all. Wink

What I don't want to hear is the root pitch of the feedback delay loop ... only the jingling harmonics.

Maybe someone can give me an idea?

Thank you!
Uli

I also attach a screenshot of the original NM1 Editor

Don't think you're doing too bad ... just did a few adjustments and it's sort of near I think (to the original I have on my harddisk).

But that's up to you to decide of course :-)

The blue modules and knob 1 one were used to A/B the Classic and the G2, you can drop those and restore the old output connections again.

(And I left out a bunch of delays I didn't understand what they could be good for.)

true, the delays don't seem to make too much sense, very strange.

maybe in my memory the sound is lighter and clearer than the original patch actually was.

greets

The G2 does indeed not sound exactly the same, the original seems to have more detail as it runs through the overtones, the G2 stressing just a few (lower ones) of 'm, or spending more time on the lower resonances.

The two synths are different and especially for this kind of nearly random patching one really runs into those differences.

I tried adding a little, seems to be a tad better.

hello, funny I'm sitting over it just at this very moment, too, trying to get rid of the delayloop root, here's my work in progress (no idea where this may lead to, musically)

In some way more like the Classic patch, the distribution of the over tones is better. But now it has less body it seems.

And the patch gets simpler that's always good !
