I created the Black Hole patch for use with my Nintendo DS (mainly with the game Electroplankton). The patch contains several fx "blocks" which alter the sound and each can be switched in and out of the signal path so it's easy to get a large range of different sounds. These blocks include "Time Warp" which is 2 offset (by inversion) scratch modules controlled by LFO, "Filter", "Phaser", "Flanger", "Stutter" which is a track and hold circuit designed to give a more "stuttering" rhythmic nature to the sound, "Lat-Vert" which simulates the Lat-Vert mode on a Fairchild compressor...basically like a Mid-Side process, enhancing the stereo image, and finally "Delay" and "Reverb" blocks. Lastly there is a Mute block at the beginning of the signal chain so the source signal can be manually gated.

I modified this patch further by removing the mute switch and replacing it with twin (stereo) ADSR envelopes just before the Delay and Reverb blocks. This makes it behave more like a synth pad patch, but the keyboard keys have no other function than to trigger the ADSRs. However, I have had some interesting results using a high resonance on the filters and having 100% keyboard tracking. I also added some morph group assignments for quicker tweaking of the sound. Enjoy and happy tweaking!

Thanks. Black Hole is really useful and the routing is convenient.
