Can anyone help me here on this patch I have started.

It is designed to toggle between 2 sequencer modules but only on the first beat of a bar.

I have got as far as getting the switch to toggle and quatize correctly, but the logic pulse is only momentary and so the gate closes after a 16th then re-opens every first beat - Sad

I have tried a few ideas with no avail. Is it possible to create more logic gates than is available? Can you link logic gates to create other gate forms? that would work I am sure.

Here it is:

You can combine the gates to make more complex logic structures but in this case you could just use the flip flop to do the toggle as shown.

The 'sequencer examples' section in the editor help also has a serial connection example that does this without any additional modules at all.

Thanks for this but the most important aspect of the patch is the switch used to toggle between sequencers.

I wanted one seq looping endlessly and then when I flicked the switch, the patch would wait til the first beat of a bar to start the second seq.

Aren't your patches more like glorified 32 step sequencers. However, the do leave scope for other thingsthat a normal link wouldn't allow.

thanks, but any more advancements?

Exactly like Smile

Sorry, missed your point somehow. Is this what you wanted?

The D type flip flop syncs the switch state change to the start of the bar.

That is exactly what I wanted!!! Laughing

Thankyou Mr g2ian.

You managed to do it with minimum fuss and speed might I add. I did pull up that flip flop module and thought it should be used for this, but I just don't have much experience or knowledge at this stage. I managed to make a complete mess of the other one, eh Smile

How long have you been using the G2 then?

All the best my friend and many thanks again.

BTW: check out my website to hear the sorts of sounds I make. This knew module will be part of a new project that i am working on. I'll post it up on the site when done and let you know about it. This wasn't meant to be a gratuitous plug by the way Wink

Your welcome

I've been using a G2 for a long time, and other modulars before that.

I look forward to checking out your new project.
