Looks great! The time THAT must have taken to solder together! (Having built 1 of my 2 MPSes.)
LOVED hearing a line from Ultravox' Vienna, in the 4th one! |

Thanks guys, much appreciated.
Each voice has it's own merits but in a perfect world i would have (requiring lots more panel space) installed 8 M.P.S. boards, there again if i'm using a regular kick / hihat / snare sounds there would be a lot of exess synth power unused having that flexible a drum synth. |

Cheers, i started in feb this year with some ply wood in my shed and fired up the soldering iron every night after work and most weekends (with a little mountain biking for a change of scene and sanity ).
nearly lost all my friends during building but they're back now it's making sounds Ha ha ha. |

Skrog,
Nice looking panels and a really great demo set! That is one nice percussion rig! I echo the Ultravox cover kudos...we must be thinking on the same lines: I've been listening to that album with that song while I've been soldering lately. Still sounds very good after 20 years! Midge Ure has such a great voice and the band's songs and arrangements are all top notch. We could use more bands like them! |

I've still got a copy of Vienna in my CD stack, which I listen to every now and then. I really like it when I do. The only problem is that "it means nothing to meeeeeeee!!!" |

I've still got it as well, though - I've rarely listened to CDs for the last 2 or 3 years, let alone much else, except for mp3s posted to here and my own stuff. I'll have to get a CD player into my shop again so I can listen to all of the stuff that I still have.
And get finished building my drum kit, so that I can play along with the stuff on CD as well. |

It occurred to me about a year ago to rip my CDs to my computer so that I could put mp3s onto a thumbdrive for the car. I still haven't done them all, but I must say, it's a great idea that was a long time coming!
Makes it real easy to play along with my favourite tracks.
My normal CD player has already been "retired". |

I don't have a PC in my shop any more as the CPU or mobo in my monster machine died, late last year.
Has been nice in a way, using a hard ware sequencer and not having to deal with software bugs. But, miss listening to tunes when I want ..... |

Went to see ultravox on the first night of their return to eden uk reunion tour on 10th april this year. I was born in 1975 so i was too busy with LEGO & train sets the first time around. Really good show , they started with astradyne & played all my favs inc. Mr X / the thin wall / passing strangers / hymn / the voice ... pretty much all from midge ure period. Original 80's line up on stage... warren cann. billy currie . chris cross . midge ure. |
