Look's Brilliant, I really dig wooden case's!
like Isak said "i wish i new how to add sub osc's and extra lfo and extra envelope" is there some way you could enlighten us?
Also are you going to use a power supply?
Nice Work! |

Thanks mtec , case is now drenched in black satin paint .
No internal power supply +9V / 0V / -9V comes in from a big external unit i built that feeds the modular system / Soundlab + + / future expansion of the modular .

Soundlab + + finished, hurray, my wiring enthusiasm levels are low now but it's going to be a worthy addition to the diy collection.
From Soundlab + to Soundlab + +......
Cloned the PWM section of the soundlab vco 2 to give vco 1 PWM & pulse out.
Built a simple 8 Channel audio mixer (from ray's odd's & end's section). Mixer level pots for vco1 ramp / vco1 pulse / vco1 sub.
Mixer level pots for vco2 ramp / vco2 pulse / vco2 sub.
Mixer level pots for Noise & Ring mod.
Cloned LFO on Soundlab schematic to give LFO2.
Built on perf board 2 of Roman Sowa's Frequency dividers using just the divide by 2 & divide by 4 (switchable on/off mixed with divide by2).
populated Mfos micro S&H.
Built the simple Ring mod from Mfos site , the analog devices AD633, and 2 simple pre-amps to boost the soundlab ramps for its 10V p/p inputs.
Attenuators on every cv input, 4 per vco , 3 on the vcf , 2 on the vca, allowing to dial in very small modulations to give bass sounds as thick as a recently over fed anaconda
Here's some pics , sounds to follow later on.
Thanks for looking.
Dave

Some sounds .....
recorded just the soundlab on it's own, no reverb or fx just the synth.
Description: |
classic electro pop melody played via midi 2 cv to the Soundlab starts with 2 ramps & 2 pulses then 2 sub osc's come in (div./2) then switch div./4 in before the verse |
