G2 output noise

I recorded a few seconds of the crackling noise coming out of my G2's main output. I have read about noise when USB is connected to a computer but it does not seem to be my case. it does it with or without USB connected.
It's an intermittent noise.
any suggestion?

If its not a patch doing the noise it's no good I say, and nothing like USB noise I've been having.

From the clip, it sounds like the noise is coming out of only one output. Is that correct?

Do you also hear this noise from the headphone output?

I had a problem where I noticed that one output was intermittently dropping in volume. It turned out to be just a bad connection between the cable plug and the output jack. After I removed and plugged the cable a couple of times, the problem went away.

I've exactly the same problem here !

I've mailed the Clavia Support but they didn't help me at all, just told me to go my local repair man ...

I've tested everything I think:
The noise comes, disappears et comes back again, it's really annoying..
I'have checked all the cables, tried the G2 alone on the power supply, even with nothing connected, just the headphones I can hear the noise on the right ear.

A friend of mine checked and rebuild the welds on the power card. The noise is still there.

The noise can disappear for an instant when I touch the synth and press it (on the red parts).

I don't have time to bring my G2 to repair, I hope it won't cost a lot to repair it ....

Hello,

As I said before, it's the same on the headphones out. the noise remains in the right ear.

Oh no, that’s not so good. That means that the problem is not just localized to the G2 output jack… it might be just something as simple as a cold solder joint somewhere between the DAC and the headphone amp/audio output jack… or worse, a circuit component is failing… Sad

Hello !
Good news !! Cool

I took my G2 to get it repaired: apparently, it was just a bad contact between the motherboard and the dsp optional card.
the guy has just correctly put the card on the slots and the noise has gone Smile

And it cost me 0€ Laughing

Hope it will solve your problem too.
