NYE 2015-16 Live Streaming Event |
 |
|
The event will be on electro-music radio on Thursday December 31, 2015. It will start at 15:00 GMT and finish at 00:00 GMT. We can extend the timing a bit if we have enough people sign up, but lets try to start off in that range since it will maximize the number of listeners.
Stream ops please respond if you able to help switch and what time range you are available.
As before, if you are interested in performing, please copy/paste this Sign-Up template and post in this thread:
1. Preferred Start Time (Please use GMT/Military Time):
2. Set Length (30 or 60 minutes):
3. Artist Name (For displaying on the poster):
4. Chat Name (if different from artist/forum name):
5. Location (City/State/Country - Optional):
6. Description (Style/Genre/Equipment, etc. - Optional):
7. Website Address:
For reference, this clock should be useful:
First Time Streamers Please Read:
Please review the Electro-Music Copyright Policy
Please note: "Preferred Start Time". We will do the best that we can to accommodate people to their requested times. However, please be flexible because this event will have European and American musicians in many different time zones. Time slots will be on a semi-"first come-first served" basis. Furthermore, please post your time in GMT. The handy clock should make it simple. However, we do use military/24 hour time. It will undoubtedly be an international event and GMT is the only way to coordinate such events.
As in the past, the chat room will serve as an invaluable communication tool for set up, streaming, and connecting to those listening....and it's just a lot of fun! I suggest participants get familiar with it in advance, if you aren't already.
If you want a recording of your set, it would be prudent to record your own set, rather than depend on others. Accidents and mistakes happen...especially in this format. There are many ways to record your set, either thru the stream app or record your stream from your mixer on the signal path to the computer.
Performers MUST stream at 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz , stereo .
It is IMPERATIVE that everyone test their connections before we start streaming. At least 24 hours before or sooner. Sorry, but musicians WILL NOT be allowed to stream if you do not test 24 hours before hand. Not only does it delay the schedule, but causes unneeded stress on performer, server operator, and audience during performance time.
VERY IMPORTANT!!!: Please do not sign up unless you are available to perform. If something changes, then please let us know in this thread as soon as possible. Booking a spot takes that timing away from other performers. It also leaves us scrambling to fill the empty spot at the last minute. _________________ JacobWatters.com Last edited by Cynosure on Sat Dec 05, 2015 10:25 am; edited 1 time in total |

Port check on 8088 done, thanks to Dr. Steve and several very helpful and much missed members of the Electro-Music Chat Room Posse!
Attached is a ZIM waveform screen shot from my Processing audio visualizer that we use in the planetarium, for display during my set. I can scale / resize if needed.
Also a picture of my rig. Not shown is Live running on a Macbook (final mix + post-ZIM effects). I may play some ebow on the Nechville electric banjo. That sounds fits with some of the ZIM passages.
Happy Merry! Can't wait.

I was hoping to join this one, but unfortunately I've suffered a fracture on my shinbone and then some, with an operation as a result where they inserted screws and stuff into my leg. Meaning I can't get into my apartment, which is three floors up, no lift, where all my music stuff is.
I hope to listen in at some point though, have fun! _________________ Antimon's Window

So sorry to hear this Stefan. Having broken numerous bones in my life, I know how it is. I hope that it heals quickly. Make sure to do any physical therapy that the doctor gives you to do. _________________ When the stream is deep

Oops
And I thought I was having a bad luck day yesterday ... when I broke a plate cooked black rice and cut my finger.
Sorry to hear Stefan, hope you will be well soon. _________________ Jan

awesome Queer! I added you and AlanP to the schedule and moved iSteve to a 30 minute earlier slot .
Code: | 16:00-16:30 Epicyclus
16:30-17:30 Kevin Kissinger
17:30-18:00 Modulator ESP
18:00-18:30 Jacob Watters
18:30-19:00 Balloon Marsupials
19:00-20:00 Paulo Santos
20:00-20:30 Blue Hell
20:30-21:00 Queer
21:00-21:30 iSteve
21:30-22:00 AlanP
22:00-22:30 Cranial Mythos
22:30-23:00 Acoustic Interloper
23:00-00:00 Chez Mosc |
So there is still a 30 minute slot for whoever wants it (18:30-19:00) and an hour at the start (15:00-16:00)
and of course there is also plenty of time after Chez Mosc (I'm assuming twyndyllyngs will perform as usual).
Let me know if it works for everyone sofar, if not I can move some thing around.
