Here are two patches:

They convert a numerical constant into a 64-step audio waveform.

In the first patch, the lowest place (ones) in the AD converter are checked most frequently, and the highest place (64) is checked least frequently.

In the second patch, the highest place (64) from the AD converter is checked most frequently, and the lowest (1) is checked least.

This results in different sounds when they are swept.

I have included in each case a switch to select between a constant and swept value.

I have not figured out how to deal with the negative sign--it could be used perhaps to create 128-step waves. I also have no idea what these waveforms look like.

Would welcome some input. I know very little about digital logic.

My intent here is to be able to generate waveforms from the mod wheel. There are a lot of other ideas I have about generating waveforms from digital conversions of numbers--but it is going to take a while to figure them out.

Check out the ValWave patch I made-- it is in the Completed Synth Patches section. It is a fuller implementation of this patch.

And thank you for the kind words, Blue Hell.

Blue Hell,

Your patch is very alive sounding.

Sometimes when the formants/filters open way up, it gets an ARP-y sound. Also. when it jumps quickly from note to note, that sounds quite pleasant.
