Hi there,

I need some assistance about my NX5R its really important because I have a gig this saturday.

I have bought it in US. When I came back to London UK without think about the difference of voltage between the two countries, I have plugged in straight into the power... Flash!!! Sad(((

I opened it and there is a fuse inside burned.... I also sow there is switch where i can change from 110V to 240V

Could I save my Korg just changing the fuse or its a bigger problem and I have to take to assistance?

Please help me ...

Thanks for posting the pictures.

First of all, you change the mains voltage input setting by changing that connector where it says 117V over to the connector that says 230V. Then replace the fuse with one half the value (I think in the chat we said 250mA).

Then we pray that nothing was damaged. If something is damaged, we'll probably have to look closer. I think there might be a thermistor in between those capacitors, if anything, that is gone and will have to be replaced.

Also it's a good sign that the other fuse (FU1, that 1.5A fuse from the secondary) was not blown. Do not mess with that one for now.
