As the title says. Different than the "classic" design I made before. ( arrow http://www.electro-music.com/forum/post-298522.html )

With the granular approach, "flangey" artifacts can be masked by jittering the grain base frequency and the grain pitch. Pitch jitter gives a nice chorusy sound too.
I ganged grain frequency (=size reciprocally) to grain pitch when pitching upwards in order not to exceed the 1 seconds delay limit. There's a feedback loop in there too, just for fun.

This is a dual-grain engine. I also have a four-grain design here, which can create far denser/fatter sounds. However, it suffers from not having logarithmic crossfading, which makes it sound more artificial when doing "normal" pitch-shifting, so it's more like a special effect. I might post it too later.

Cheers,
t

Just to be complete: Here's the aforementioned (one post earlier, scroll up) quad-grain stereo pitch shifter. As mentioned, straightforward pitch shifting doesn't sound as good here because of the linear crossfading as opposed to logarithmic which is more suitable for audio, but isn't possible to implement due to DSP restrictions (the patch maxes out a whole DSP). Also, four grains also cause more potential phase cancellations anyway.

But with jitter added, it actually sounds quite nice in a FX-ish sort of way.
