There seem to be some new people around, the 2nd NM 1 generation, well I like to think this to be true anyway. As an NM2 1st generation guy I use the Classic less than I should.

Anyway, nostalgia, the smell of her perfume, vapour, automn, guilt, a link.

For those who do not know.

There was some recent Java related progress, it's not on the front page yet.

Christian Schneider, on the nmedit-devel list, wrote:
I am happy to say that the java libraries are now completely working.
I had many problems dealing with bugs in swig. But now the wrapper
files are generated without errors. For creating them you
may need the latest release of swig (1.3.25 is ok). For demonstration
I wrote a small example (java-nmcom/src/example/Jnmedit.java)
which connects to the synth and displays information about messages received.

Ok, so when you really do not know yet, but when you do like your NM Classic and you do like programming computers and do want to be involved in building an editor program for your synth (which would be an odd combination of properties, probably, likely) click the link !

Hey the graphics even look good! This is really great news for the NM community. The NM Classic will now be around for a LONG time.

Makes me thing this would be good as an G2 editor as well (once the libraries are developed for it). Which *could* make patch translation in one place (though that is still a very difficult proposition).
