People! Recently has found one of soundtracks for Matrix 3! (To find it was difficult, as the author hides it, therefore it was necessary to work well, apparently, this composition "Flight" refers to!) Music - super! Listen and enjoy, success! It is checked up on Maverick Record's site, it is the REAL soundtrack to Matrix3: Revolution! http://www.mp3.com/mcdart/
[Editor's Note: This was originally posted to the News forum. I moved it to Schmooze as this is a more appropriate place.] |

| Would not posting a commisioned soundtrack for matrix 3 at MP3.com create a messy relationship with the publisher/label? |

This music sounds very professional. Well produced. I've see the frist two Matrix movies, but I'm not a super fan. This music sounds plausable as Matrix movie music.
I liked the first Matrix movie, but the second one left me cold. I felt like I was watching someone play a video game. The special effects seemed to get pretty predictable and the story left me unmoved. I'm not sure I understand why this movie is so popular. Now there is a new one coming out. Has anyone seen it? How's it stack up with the first two? Can anyone explain what I'm not getting? |

The second one has some problems but in some ways the story is getting much better and I am waiting for the third.
As of what this really is ...
...in a way this is in the spirit of Philip K. Dick. -About the essence of being human and experiencing reality whatever that is.
M2 shows that the rebellion is a program created to handle certain problems.. but then Neo in some way changes his destiny etc etc.
This is not ground breaking stuff but I think the Matrix series is OK so far. The third one might turn out to be a disaster.. who knows..
I have some issues with some of the scenes and some of the premises but all in all Matrix is OK. I would describe The Matrix series as a mix of Philip K. Dick and cyberpunk ideas. Last edited by elektro80 on Sun Oct 19, 2003 9:00 am; edited 2 times in total |

That's exactly what I thought about the two Harry Potter movies
My 8 years old nephew knows both by heart. Isn't that amazing?

| The Matrix 1 did not move me much at all.. great visuals.. but all in all just a retelling of some great old science fiction in a more action paced packaging. The twists in the very story of M2 made the whole thing a lot better but some decisions in M2 left me a bit alienated. |

Hey.. I hated terminator 3, I did not like the first ones much either.. but some of the visual effects were entertaining. But.. the very end of T3 changed everything.. great ending.. in the same style as that old great science fiction..
On the other hand I tend to read films as books.. which might be a completely wrong way to consume films |

I enjoyed the Harry Potter films. I didn't read any of the books, and after seeing the movies I have no desire to do so. I don't know what you missed.
Maybe if you were 8, you'd get it.
For grownups, good entertainment is hard to find. Maybe that explains why most movie goers are in the 35 or less age group. After so many years, you just can't take any more dribble. |

Matrix:
Humanity is turned into animals that are used as energy sources for the machines. An interesting idea.
Reality is an illusion. To wake up from the illusion is a choice. The system uses ideas about freedom to further enslave the slaves.
All in all the way Philip K. Dick is working similar ideas and themes is a lot better, the Matrix series is a kind of popular consumer friendly reoackaging of this tradition. The Matrix series is so far not bad.. but it is not insanely good either. Last edited by elektro80 on Sun Oct 19, 2003 8:05 am; edited 1 time in total |

True. Good point.
and...
I am extremely tired of movies where everything blows up.. the first thing they usually blow up is the story. |

I detect a note of sarcasm here.
I appreciate the posting by Mastersite. Thanks for joining the forum and contributing. You are very welcome here.
And, thanks to mastersite, I'll certainly go to the Matrix 3 movie and listen for this track. |
