collaboration & compilation

Does anyone here collaborate with others in this forum, eg send unfinished tracks to others to work on etc, (I personally like to work alone)

Or has there ever been a compilation CD made by members of this forum eg. everyone submits a track or 2, & make a cd, (maybe a double) hilighting the talents & diversity of the musicians.

There are some collabs going on deep down in the darker areas in this forum, but there has been no compilation yet. I am sure that will happen some day... soon..

Yes, I would like to see a compilation. It's been discussed before, but no consensus on the format. It will be even more of a challenge now that electro-music has grown so much. It would probably take 3 or 4 CDs to inlcude everyone who wants to be in it.

There have been several collaboations that have been started or orchestrated from this site. The most notable to me was the recent concert by Spizm and MESS in Philadelphia. These artists met here on the site and ended up putting on a concert together. That was a red letter day for us. See: http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-3550.html

If you want to collaborate on a musical project, post a request on the Help Wanted forum.

The collaboration CD needs to get going. It's always been the finances that has been a barrier. Greg is right, now that we have grown, we may have to restrict the music that is accepted. That would be difficult. I have lots of projects on the burner to take care of before I would have time for that one though.

how about anyone who wants to contribute, helps fund the cd, in equal measures & then the profits are split equally amongst the featured artists, I think someone wise & trust worthy like mosc or eleKtro80 should handle the dosh!!!
