So now I should feel guilty about listening to practitioners of fretted instruments, such as
George Harrison
Bill Frisell
Joe Pass
Django Reinhardt
Paco DeLucia
BB King
Robben Ford
David Grisman
Bela Fleck
Les Paul
David Lindley
Jimi Hendrix
Robert Fripp
Question
Shocked

I have been playing the guitar for about 25jears and somehow a guitar
seems to be "perfectly" in tune as long as you dont touch the frets. Rolling Eyes
just a feeling....
But I won`t change the system of course.

I reckon any guitar which is perfectly in tune may as well be in a glass case! Very Happy Preferably one which is a total vacuum. With a humidity of 18% and a temperature of 22.63 degrees. Exposed only to infra-red light waves. And of course with it's own ambient soundtrack of "The best of Des O'Connor"!! Shocked Laughing

in fact I`m a really dirty, outmoded, heavy hardcore axe handler,
never making any prisoners.
I like it when my sweat is running down my 75`flying V...
rusty strings cutting my fingertips, or else... Wink
But still I like the idea of new concepts on guitar building.
It must feel terribly strange using those frets I imagine.
