New yutility module |
 |
|
Here is a new YUSYNTH utility module.
It is a dual COMPARATOR module to create GATE signal and pulses from another source of signal. It can be used either to process modulation CVs or audio signal (though it's not a GATE extractor as it can be found with envelope followers).
Enjoy it at :

Looks great Yves! A really useful module, very nicely presented. And don't think I've seen an Off Trig before - seems like a great addition. Dual modules always rule, too (two.!.) _________________ http://www.bugbrand.co.uk

what is TGTSH ?
EDIT : OK Ian, I've just checked your site and found the TGTSH, and yes they have some common functionalities threshold, GATE and onset trig. _________________ Yves |

That's a nice circuit, Yves. From feedback I've gotten, the end trigger is a feature that many will find useful.

Very nice. Just curious, what would it sound like if you ran it audio frequencies?(if this is even possible). Some kind of wacky, pitch shifting PWM? _________________ " I went through quite a few trannies til I found one I liked" - Wild Zebra |

Well if you use the GATE OUT only it will sound just like PWM. Now if you combine the three outputs with an inverting/direct mixer and tweak the polarization (invert sign or direct) of the various signals I guess (I haven't tried it yet) you would obtain a mixture between PWM and SYNC effects. I'll give it a try... _________________ Yves |

Used as a controller one may imagine interesting patches such as feeding
the input with white or pink noise, and feeding the ON TRIG pulse to a Band-pass VCF set to high resonance and modulated by some LFO or wandering CV, and sending the OFF TRIG pulse to another Band-pass VCF set to high resonance and modulated by another LFO. This way one gets two independant alternating dropping water stereo sounds.
Or feeding the INPUT with a slow random CV and using the ON TRIG to clock a step sequencer, and the OFF TRIG to clock a second step sequencer. This way one would get two random clocked intermangling sequences. _________________ Yves |
