Pitch Stick is out of tune |
 |
|
Hello Everybody!
My G2's Pitch Stick is out of tune, and I don't know what the problem can be. For example if the Pitch Bend range is set to 2 semitones and I push the Stick to the left, for example the middle E4 note isn't slide down to D4, but jump down immediately to D4. If I push the Stick to the right, for the first little touch (for example) the middle E4 is jump down immediately to D4, and after jump up to quasi F4 and at the end of the range the Stick is sliding a little bit to the finish Fis4. And another problem is that the Pitch Stick is very sensitive: if I play on the keyboard and I push the keys heavier, the Stick is take a little motion and it tunes out the total keyboard range. If I want to gain back the primary tune, I must touch the Stick carefully while I listening and comparing the sound's tuning.
Can anybody help me? My G2 is very young, and I use it carefully. I thought its just softver bug, but after an uninstall and update this error is stayed. _________________ my music:

Maybe open the (red) hood (leave the screws with the washers in place, they are use to articulate the hood) and check if the wires of the stick are firmly connected to the motherboard.

Sounds like the resistive element has delaminated, like what happened to mine and several other G2 owners. Take it back for service. |

ive read a few posts about the pitch stick acting weird, and i wanted to verify something before i went ahead and ordered a new part.
Is the 'delamination' problem the one where a vibration or a nudge would make the entire patch go out of tune or is this another problem.
the way it sounds to me (at least from the problem I am getting) is that my pitch stick is having problems returning to zero (especialy after changing a patch)
Once i wiggle the stick a little after changing patches, everything usualy stays stable, but it is friggin annoying. |

Have you had this problem repaired was it the delamination of resistive element.
You see I am experiencing the same weirdness with my G2X.
Drooping in total keyboard range.
Only not until I replaced the pitch stick with a new one.
Prior to that it was only the pitch when using the stick.
