Please can any body help me out here, I have been listening to alot of funky electro recently and i need to expand my catalog of tunes! mainly been into stuff on the ed banger label, digitalism, boys noize, soulwax, simian mobile disco etc etc and really looking for stuff of similar style but much more dirty and dark, a little more experimental id say! i know there a lot of 'house' artists out there using these styles im just not hearing them!
if you know of any artists i need to be listening to that would be much appreciated!
ive got a large playlist of music and some of my own mixes to share if interested!

I think Anthony Rother has at least one fairly consistent album with neo-retro electro.. lemme see.. which one is that..?

Idea

Simulationszeitalter !

Some of the tunes here are of course slightly too long but turn up the volume until your nostrils start to bleed and then you´re OK with that as well.

Probably a little too far from your remit but definitely dark and experimental, try:

2nd Gen

'Musicians Are Morons' is a classic! Very Happy

Oh, man, yeah! I can't believe he's not popular, he's been releasing consistently great stuff for at least ten years now. I love Little Acid Tracks!

I treated myself to mostly everything he's done as he's now available at Emusic so it works out around 16p a track on my sub.

He always makes me smile and always makes me want to dance like a nutter! Very Happy

Bristol grime/dubstep producer named Joker - can't find a link but Gully Brook Lane, 80s, and Holly Brook Park are just brilliant.
