Mosc's March 23rd post here is the only place I found it:

I don't know if those times are still accurate. _________________ When the stream is deep

Will the kegs at EM08 take Roland expansion cards or flash media upgrades? I wrote a script for a smoother carbonization process, removing excess foaming. _________________ a blatant mis-use of technology |

Greg,
I will have new artist information for festival booklet. Will there be a call for artist descriptions and their planned performances in the near future?
Also, PM me if you think we have any more special requirements for cables (100' XLR types ... etc ...)
Thanks for all the hard work as usual Greg

We will send out the acceptance notices soon, and ask for confirmation from everyone that they are attending.
Once we have the final list, we'll publish the schedule, ask for bios etc.
This will take a few weeks. _________________ www.gregwaltzer.com |

Hi!
Mark has put forth a great deal of effort to get me on board, and I think he has succeeded. Thanks, Mark! I'm planning to bring a pile of Moog gear, possibly including a MultiPedal prototype to demo, plus my trusty rack of computer, microQ and nord modular (all in one tidy, 100lb. package!)
If possible I'd like to do some demos/tutorials on the Moog gear, including synth-programming tips if anyone is interested. I'm also looking forward to some time jamming with other synthusiasts.
Cheers, all!

Yesterday, Gerg and I reviewed all of the submissions. We are once again going to have a very fine event. Many different styles and approaches are going to be presented. Some good talks and demos too; we are looking forward to Amos's show and tells.
It is exciting to move electro-music 2008 to the beautiful facility in Kingsport.
We will notify the participant applicants very soon and after we get confirmations from them we will post a preliminary schedule. (The schedule is always preliminary until it happens.)

Thanks, guys!
Mark: correction, I was saying how cool it would be to try out the Multipedal with somebody else's G2, as I don't have one. I'll see if I can come up with some interesting demo patches for it on my G1 though... mostly I've been using the prototype Multipedal to create recallable presets for Moogerfoogers, and to do easy MIDI sync with the MuRF (which should work with most analog sequencers). More on this stuff later, of course. _________________ current kit - hardware: Moog Voyager and Little Phatty, Roland JP6, Nord Modular G1. Software: Ableton Live 7, Audiomulch, the Microtonic. |

Jam Recordings Subject description: I would like to record the jams this year. |
 |
|
If no one objects, I would like to record the jams this year.
At eletro-music 2007 I recorded some of the jams, and they came out sounding pretty good. I did this as an afterthought; I happened to have a little IO box on me, and it seemed like a good idea.
This year I would like to come better prepared. I'll bring a Mackie Onyx 1620 mixing board w/ firewire card (though I doubt I'll go through the trouble of doing any multi-track recording), a computer, and some XLRs and mics for people who need them (along with some random cables and adapters and stuff that might come in handy).
I would like to just leave the recording gear up the whole time, but I'm a little wary of leaving it unattended. I don't think anyone at electromusic would run off with it, but you never know, and I can't afford to replace it. Is anyone interested in teaming up with me so I we can keep recording and still do other things at the festival?
Can anyone bring a few mic stands?
What are the plans for the jam room this year?
Is there any plan to stream the jams?
I've been thinking about some system to keep track of who's playing on what. I thought I might have a mic recording to a separate track that people could just speak into to say that they're playing such and such instrument. I could use that information to say that person X joined the jam at time Y playing instrument Z. It would then be up to the listener to figure out when person X left the jam. And I might have trouble spelling people's names... Any thoughts/suggestions? |

The jams won't be streamed, since they are concurrent with other concerts, and we can only stream one thing at a time. But the recordings could be streamed at a later time. _________________ www.gregwaltzer.com |

I'll do what I can.

I am less concerned about leaving it over night, and more concerned about during the conference when I wander off to do other things. It's good to know that I needn't be concerned over night though Last edited by droves on Tue Jun 10, 2008 12:02 pm; edited 1 time in total |

This festival looks really cool. I'd love to go.
Also, there's a really good festival in the Twin Cities area every year called "The Spark Festival". It's a mixture of electronic music and conceptual performance. If anyone attends next year, I'd love to hear from you. _________________ Steve
