"Loopback" as a channel for MIDI Modules

For putting knobs with no control input under the automation of an LFO/etc, I use MIDI CC's to send out the control signal, then assign the knob to that MIDI CC. Last, I assign the MIDI Channel to the current Slot (A,B,C,D).

What would be very nice, is to have another option for this channel, I call it "loop" for loopback. This would automatically assign the MIDI channel to whatever slot the patch is loaded into. This would allow a patch using this method to be loaded into any slot, and still function properly.
