There's also a lot of G2 on the other tracks, and some noodle excerpts at the bottom.

RibboMan and the Maniacs is done with only one sound source: a G2 Exclamation

Hope you'll enjoy it!

Thats a pretty nice track you have there! nice scratching sound and cool guitars. Good work

Have not been here for a while. I do have a track I can offer though so I thought I might contribute my little ambient experiments:

Soft Patch

Field recordings mixed with G2. The bulk of the sounds are made on the G2, I used the bit reducer module a little and you can hear the aliasing from it if you listen closely.

It was great to spend some time listening:

Pulsecraft- loved the sounds on Lost Places and kudos for "playing" the Nord G2 (not that I do too much of that myself)

Dasz- your sequencing and skills with the G2 are amazing. we should go grab a coffee some time. oh- and I liked the turn at 13 minutes in your track

iPassenger- Deep Roots was great and I thought some of the sound on Squirk were especially good

Taiko- Deep Pressure was my favorite. I like your stuff- especially the drum sounds.

Much- best of the lot to my ears. great song. loved the scratching effect over the dubby guitar part.

My music can be found at http://www.myspace.com/bishopandmulholland

The G2 is at the center of everything and most tracks probably have 6-10 different Nord G2 sounds on it. Pretty much if it isn't piano, strings or drums (E6400 sampler) then its the Nord. Love it and couldn't live without it. Well, at least life wouldn't be as much fun.

Full disclosure is that 80% of the sounds are just tweaks and not original patch builds.

Grace and peace.

I use only an unexpanded G2 Engine on my stuff, for live sets and the albums (which are recorded as a live performance) I use a couple of delay pedals to get things loopy while the audio cuts out between patchloads.

http://erstlaub.co.uk/music.htm

and there's quite a lot of bits of listening at http://www.last.fm/music/Erstlaub too.

Hi, I'm listening to the start is also the end... now. Really nice pad sound in the beginning. Feels lush and warm. Very mellow, dulcet tone. Nicer than any pads I've played with on my G2. Actually, I'm really still quite new to the platform.

Cheers

Well, I'll drop another of the tunes from the same upcoming EP here. Also a year old, actually written and recorded the day after the one posted here before.

http://mush.niobar.se/nightswimming.mp3

The drums are from a Machinedrum, vocals and guitar is recorded in classic manner, everything else is the G2!

I assume "Much" is me... Wink

Thanks. I've listened to a few of the songs on your myspace and I find the same naive melody-style I love Chromeo for. And I really like that you use heavier beats than expected - it makes the productions a lot more interesting than most of the music in the genre.

Kudos!

oops! yep- that should be "mush"

Thanks for taking a listen and the feedback. Yeah- I love the 80's synth sounds like Chromeo. Some of the tracks on the album are a lot more serious than Chromeo's tongue-in-cheek approach, but I love their sounds.

Peace,
Paul

I just finished the last touches on my new album. Almost every synth sound is from the G2 as well as a lot of the processing. You can prelisten to a few of the songs here:

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=153523744594

And no, you don't need facebook to listen, the player is in the bottom-left corner of the page. But if you have facebook you can sign up to the group and get a notification once a new tune is added and other news about the album.

Not sure if this counts, if not, please remove the post. I took the plunge and finally uploaded something to YouTube. I feel like I'm running through a big city naked, except people aren't screaming (yet). G2X is doing the bass. This is certainly not as cool as the stuff the rest of you are doing.

It's funky. And I like that you play live, I'm not close to that yet... (I'm having a jazz-band playing covers of my songs at my releaseparty...)

And by the way, I love the Rhodes-part! Pure gold!

These two songs represent the two ways I've been recording lately.

All the sequencing is with Digital Performer.

Seven uses an AKAI S6000 for the drum loop going to the inputs of the G2. The recording is from the stereo out of the G2 into DP, with just a few dB's of EQ and <1 dB of limiting in DP.

Ten is just the G2 stereo out to DP with a little EQ and limiting.

I've been trying to do all the mixing with FX, distortion, EQ, compression, etc.. inside the G2.
