EDIT 8-25-2012 changed price

Hey ya'll, I've got a new module design to share which I'll be providing pcbs and preprogrammed PICs for.

I have a relatively small system (less than 30 modules) and was thinking about adding a sequential switch and also wanting to add a sample-and-hold. Because both of these circuits revolve around switches being opened and closed, I decided to just combine them and create something a little different.

http://www.bartonmusicalcircuits.com/rth/ has more information for this project, including a pdf file with schematics, parts list, board overlays, and an off panel wiring diagram.

I'm selling a PCB with pre-programmed PIC for the project for $25 each, plus $2 shipping to the USA and $4 shipping worldwide. I'm also interested in trading for other people's PCBs, as long as they aren't too many SMD parts.

I will be checking this thread and PMs, but the best way to get in touch with me will be e-mail through michael@bartonmusicalcircuits.com

I am hoping to receive the first batch of PCBs for this project by the end of the month. I will not charge anyone until I have stock in hand.

Hi Michael,

I've been studying the build docs for this - some interesting techniques and ideas from you, as usual! Very Happy For some use cases I think it could be similar to an ASR in function (but obviously without the CV cycling), but there are other things it does that are quite unique (e.g. the tracking facility and the MUX output.) I'll definitely be putting my order in for one or two.

One question - on the D1/D2 switch control, should the centre lug of the SPDT centre off switch be connected to +5V? That would give 0V at pin 9 on the centre position, 2.5V on one throw (where D1 connects to centre) and 5V on the other (where D2 connects to centre.) Otherwise I can't see how this would work?

Don't forget to mention it on the muffwigglers DIY forum - there is a lot of DIY action there these days.

Cheers,
A.

Hey Aladan, you've got the Divide switch figured out correctly, and I think I will go back and edit the documentation to make sure that it's clear for everyone else.

I registered for Muff's forum last weekend but my account hasn't been activated by the admins yet, I think I'm going to write them an e-mail today.

Also, I miscalculated cost for the boards last weekend, so the chip/pcb will actually be $25 each.
