Hi People,
I noticed at least a couple of people here use KiCad so I decided to try it. It works acceptably well but I'm having trouble getting an image that I can post here. I have discovered Plot to Clipboard but the annotations are too small to read in the image. Any suggestions please?

yes, plot to clipboard is not really useful. I use 2 helpers on my WIN7 PC:
PDFcreator to generate nice vector graphic PDFs For small schemos or details I zoom the schematic as much as possible then use the print key and paste the screen dump into IRFANVIEW, where I crop the part I want and print it with the built in autoscaling.

To capture a schematic zoom in as much as possible and then use the Snipping Tool that comes with Windows since Vista (/windows/system32/SnippingTool.exe).
For documentation and layouts, I use CutePDF Writer to print directly to a PDF file.

Cool!

I've been using the same method as elektrouwe, Print Screen to Clipboard to IrfanView. It works, but is kind of clunky. Now that I know about Snipping Tool I'll be using that instead.

Thanks, synaesthesia!

(In Win7 Snipping Tool is found in the Accessories menu.)

Welcome. One of the first things I do with a brand new installation is cleaning out all the "unnecessary" stuff. So I figured others might do that as well and would appreciate a pointer to this little gem. Smile
